Day 126

With August rapidly approaching it was time to do a birthday photo shoot for her invites! I have been looking forward to this for months. Here are just a few. I really am having a hard time picking which ones I like the best! These aren't in the running for the card but are some of the ones I liked. I hope you like them too!

Guess What?!

My very first picture edited with Photoshop! I have kept true to my vow to learn!

Now, you can't laugh or poke fun, it was my very first time, and I know there is still a lot I can do with this picture [like get rid of that aweful tilt] but I am literally so excited I can't stand it. Thank you so much to my lovely friend Pam over at Pieces Of Me for talking me through it step by step. Seriously guys, click the link and look at her gorgeous girls and awesome pictures- you wont regret it.

And I'll add this because it kinda sorta makes my heart melt. Pam edited this one for me over the phone since I sent her a different pic then the one we were suppose to be working on together. Oops! But hey, I got 2 for the price of 1 and you can't beat that :)

Day 124

Her mobility has "ruined" my ability to take a nice, lovely face shot. And her inability to keep anything on, or near, her face is just insane. She has added that hat to her list of dislikes- a small but mighty list that consists of all things wonderful that moms love. *Sigh*

But you know who ROCKED that hat? My niece.

Day 122

She found my scarf on the couch and wrapped it around her shoulders then nonchalantly crawled away and began playing

And if you look [not so] closely, there is a squiggly desaturated line throughout the picture. I did that on accident when I first started to edit it and then continued on and forgot about it. Oops.

Day 120

Dear Bum Genius People,
We are free for advertising at anytime :)
Love, Us
Speaking of- Did you guys hear that Cotton Babies is getting rid of the BG 3.0?!? Can you even believe it? It's the greatest diaper ever, I am crushed. Whatever takes it's place better be superfantabulous [real word, look it up]Image and video hosting by TinyPic
And you would think that this had to hurt her, right?

Sisterly love, gotta love it

Day 118

Despite the 95* blazing heat on the football field, Lilly held up nicely, with a little help from her cousin, at her sisters baseball practice. And I have to tip my hat to my amazing husband who managed to play with her the entire time and not pass out. Love you, hunny.

Day 116

If you have not been to the Rocky River pool, you absolutely MUST. It is fabulous and quite possibly the coolest pool I have ever seen. The girls, my sister and I, had a blast. It's one of the places you could stay all day long. And at $8 a person to get in- you should.

Policing the pool while sucking her thumb. Super cool kid.

Days 110-115

Catch up time! This week has been INSANELY busy. Sadie started swimming lessons on Monday, baseball on Tuesday and soccer on Wednesday. Add in the doctors appointments, pool trips, garage sales and the every day living and that equals exactly no time to post pictures. Did you miss us? Well, incase you did, here is what you missed:

Day 110
Pretend you see a really awesome video here and you think it's adorable. And while you're at it, thank Blogger for not allowing it to load properly so that you are forced to use your imagination.

Don't worry, no one bought her ;)

Day 109

Last night I made another, yes another (I willfully skipped posting the first one), attempt at making Lilly a dress using this tutorial http://www.joyshope.com/2009/05/simple-bandana-dress-tutorial.html. This one turned out well. I think I should have used the extra fabric to make the straps instead of the ribbon but I am happy with it. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, right? Either way, when I put it on her this morning she was not having it. It was 8am ,she'd already been up for 2 hours, it was raining and she was crabby.

Her excitement is overwhelming

Dress #3 is already in the works except this time I am using a pattern :)

Day 108

You know it's summer when your hair looks like this:

and smells like this (add a little more SPF but you get the idea):
We hope you stay all year, summer

Day 107

I went to Carters today and bought the girls their very own matching outfits! I know, I know, but they'll forgive me someday. When I got home, I laid them on the ground and went to go get my husband to show him our new duds. When I returned a mere 12.8 seconds later, I found this:

Mind you, I had already shared and she had her own sippy cup but, naturally, mom's smoothie was much more appealing. And do you see our matching outfits back there? EEEEE! I'm so excited to have them wear them out. Now, where do suppose we can go?!

Day 102

Today, my little sister came over (she's 4) so we walked to the park. While we were there we met the cutest little (non-related)girl ever. Her name was Vida. She had the most beautiful curly blond hair and crystal clear blue eyes you would ever want to see on a tan little girl. Anyway, she was a joy to play with and we all had a very nice time.

Day 101

We had a really great time today at Meet the Trucks down at Lakewood Park. This was our first year going with Lilly and she could have cared less, ya know, being 9 months old and all. Sadie had a great time as always. Once we were done looking at all the trucks, we played at the park for a while and then stopped at Bread Smiths for from fresh (Honey Wheat) bread. It was delicious on our sandwiches. What made it special was that my husband was able to be with us! He usually misses all the good stuff because of work.

The sun was so bright I wasnt able to get any really greats shots. This one is unedited but it works :)

Day 100

Wow, 100 days have gone by since I first started this blog. Since then, she has learned to sit, crawl, creep, pull to stand, stand independently [for 5 seconds and less], imitate and self feed, but those are just the milestones that come to mind at the moment. Her personality is what makes her. She's a happy [almost always], laid back, go-with-the-flow kinda gal. You can't help but love her. In just 75 short days she will be 1 and that literally blows my mind. She's a far cry from that little 5lb preemie I gave birth to just yesterday ;)

Day 96

Memorial Day at Lola's house. She watched Lilly so I could get some housework done (thanks Mom!) and when I came over to get her, she was wearing this lovely Harley ensemble. The hairy guy is her dad, we love him :)
